Contraint en 2007 de collaborer avec la justice dans une histoire de drogue qui s'est soldée par l'arrestation de ses anciens complices, il a été obligé de quitter son milieu de vie pour échapper à ceux qu'il a trahis. Au Québec, son nouvel entourage incluant la femme qu'il aime, avec qui il a eu deux jeunes enfants, ignore tout de son passé, même un fils abandonné au Nouveau-Brunswick. Pressenti comme le futur maire de sa municipalité où il organise des compétitions équestres, il a tout à perdre si jamais il est retrouvé. L'histoire commence alors que ses anciens complices, qui sont en fait son père Don, ses frères Steve, Pascal et Mathieu, sont sur le point d'être libérés de prison... Sera-t-il rattrapé par son passé ?
